The new Innofibre HUB, the Centre for Innovation in Cellulosic Products affiliated with the Cégep de Trois-Rivières, represents a major expansion of the infrastructure of this internationally recognized technology transfer centre.

The new 30,000 sq. ft. building, located in the Mauricie region, was designed to accelerate research and development in Quebec’s pulp and paper, biorefining, and bio-based product industries.

In keeping with Innofibre’s mission focused on sustainable development and cellulosic products, engineered wood plays a central role in the building’s architecture.

The glulam timber structure and exposed CLT panels on the ceiling give the spaces a natural warmth and inspiring atmosphere, perfectly aligned with the institution’s innovation-driven vocation.

A notable highlight: in the fall of 2024, architecture technology students from the Cégep visited the construction site to study mass timber implementation in real time.

Ambiance Bois Structures is proud to have handled the design of the engineered wood structure, in close collaboration with the various project contributors.
